6/28 Tuesday MING AN

Today we had to be the whole day in the school shop. Children should practise speaking to a foreigner. Some of them were really scared of us.
But in the end they were able to point on a thing and tell the color.

The whole day went quickly by. For lunch I went to my most favourite restaurant and had spaghetti. I stayed at school till 6pm.
Aferwards my hostfamily cooked me spaghetti and made oven potatoe, so thoughful of them :)

6/27 Monday MING AN

I came to school early as usual. I didn´t know what´s my schedule. I just waited for someone to come.
The teacher I should be with came around 9 A.M. She had just 5 classes of 4 graders.
She totally suprised me because her favourite author was czech writer Bohumil Hrabal.

The children were fine today. One class showed me a dance and afterwards they taught me how to dance it.

 

I ate my lunch in the teacher´s canteen. I had also many small tomatoes- just delicious.


In the evening we were going with 2 teachers for dinner to IKEA- best dinner I´ve ever had- in Taiwan :))

6/26 Sunday Chank Kai Shek

In the morning we went to the Chiang Kai Shek Memorial hall.
We spent there about 3 hours because we went to some exhibion there.
Afterwards we wanted to see the president office.

During our journey we went to the national Taiwan museum. There were very nice expositions, it seemed like real.
Lokesh introduced us yoga, while we were having a rest. It was really cold there, so I decided to go outside.

In a while it started to rain and rained the rest of the day.
For lunch I ate pizza and it was quite good, but two days before I had one much better :))
I arrived home this time around 7 p.m.

6/25 Saturday at home

In the morning we had to help with the children´s activities. They were playing some games in 4 rooms.After managing all 4 rooms they got a price.

The activities took till 11 o ´clock. We had lunch afterwards. In the afternoon B came with us. We were working together for our summer camp sessions.

We had a break and went out with Doggie, Emily, Erik and Vivian. We played basketball outside for about 10minutes.
In the evening we had a dinner, Vivian´s sister and her family came over and brought us so much food. After dinner we played with the children Wii.

6/24 Friday afternoon DANSHUI trip

In the afternoon we went with B and Lokesh to DANSHUI to see the sunset.

The taiphoon was very near Taiwan so everyone told us it will probably rain there but it was okey for us :)
It took us about an hour to get there. There where many shops with clothes or food.
I just tried cream cake, ohh it was soo good :)

We went very far away to see the Lover´s bridge. But the storm was comming. 

We had to buy a rain coat and in the rainy weather we just walked towards the bridge.
 I stayed at the new hotel because it was raining so much and I wanted to take a rest.
After the rain I decided to follow my friends. I could see the sunset it was very nice, just a shame that there were the clouds. 

In the evening I had a very good pizza in a Dutch store.
I came to the house after 10 p.m

6/24 Friday- morning MING AN

Today we had just morning classes. B went for the whole morning to MC donald and I had 2 classes. The kids were very good.

One boy showed me in front of the whole class a dance. He learned it just by himself, I was amazed. They also wanted me to sign on a piece of paper.

After that I was free and was just waiting for the lunch.
With B we went to a restaurant I bought spaghetti. They were very tasty :))
In the afternoon we went to DANSHUI.

6/23 Thursday MING AN

I was staying with one teacher.
She spoke fluently english and the two first classes were free so we were talking for two hours.
After that we had 3 classes. They listened a lot and asked new and very thoughtfull questions.

For lunch I went to kindergarten. After that we went with B and the teacher to discover this part of he city.

 A reporter came and asked us some questions about oour staying here in Taiwan and also about our teaching. Next day we were in the newspaper ;)

The whole day passed by very quickly. In the evening we had meeting with FU JEN students.
And in the evevning I had a headache and toohache, horrible :/

6/22 Wednesday MING AN

Today we were having our video shooting. We began at 10 o´clock.
Firstly we danced outside on the stage :)

Afterwards we were filming our useful phrases. We had a lot of fun during this session.
I had to learn Cantonese and B had to learn Czech.
After that we have asked some kindergarten kids if they could dance with us the easy czech dance.

We finished around 12 o´clock. Afterwards we were having lunch in teacher´s cantine. During the afternoon we were in the office and telling IT master how the order should be and which scenes to cut :D

Today I had also caligraphy class. We should do the same words as the week before. I hope they are now fixed in my head :D The picture below, my work :))

At 6 p.m I went for dinner to grandma house.
The rest of the day I spend working, because tomorrow we have a meeting again.

6/21 MING AN

On Tuesday I stayed with Charlie. We had the first lesson free so we went for breakfast.
He bought me some special Taiwanese milk. It was okey ;)

In the morning we had 3 classes. The classes we had today were just grade four.
Children were very noisy today I didn´t like that beacuse it´s worse if I don´t understand anything.
But in the end it was fine.

I got a present from one girl and other girl gave me her own painted picture. A class showed me what´s the popular touch-ball sport at school.

With Charlie and B we went for lunch to a restaurant. I had spaghetti with see food. I ate just the shrimps inside.

In the afternoon I had 2 classes. Also very noisy. Maeby because the school ending is coming,
so they see themself somewhere else.

In the evening is Graduation ceremony. But I went home earlier :))

6/20 Monday MING AN

The beggining of my second week here in Taipei. In the morning we went to school as usual. I stayed with one class today. It was second grade.

We ate lunch together in the class :)

 The teacher I stayed with was very active so the whole day past by very quickly. The children were cooperating so I enjoyed the day more :)

I presented myself and my country and in between I teached them, how to present themself. My name is.. Nice to meet you... .

 Then we were playing a few games to understand new english words better.

After 4 p.m I had office stuff to do and stayed at school till 8 p.m. I´ve done a lot of work for our summer camp so I hope it is going to be awesome ! :)

6/19 Sunday 101 building

We should  have our university meeting from 9 o´clock, but we were waiting for the last person till 10 o´clock. The meeting lasted till 2p.m and afterwards we went do MC Donald. After our lunch we wanted to go to 101.

We had a short stop at Dragon mountain Temple- I like those temples they are very nice and not too old :)

Afterwards we went to Taipei's Discovery Hall. It was like a museum but you could try everything.
It has shown the history of Taipei city in the past and today.

 We went to 101 and made many pictures there. We wanted to go upstairs just right before the sunset and we stayed there for about 2,5 hour. Although we couldn´t go to the 91F, because of the rainy day it was the best view I have ever had.
 















After that we went for dinner, I ate again at the MC- for the last time I hope :))
I arrived at 11 p.m at my hostfamily house and I was veryy tired..

6/18 Saturday trip Maokong

We went for a trip with two our teachers. We went to Maokong. We took a cable
car to move up in the high of 300m. It took about 20min to reach the peak and I was suprised that it is such a low hill. It was very nice there. We could see 101 and also a part of that big city.
 

We went to the tea museum. We could try a cup of tea we just had to give the cup back :). 

After Maokong we went to National Palace museum.

The Palace was very nice from the outside. Inside it was very crowdy and very cold just about 24 degrees.
The Palace has 3 floors of exhibition and on the 4 floor there was a restaurant in which we had lunch.
We stayed there for about 3 hours. We saw many archeological artifacts, the history of writing, furniture.
It was interesting but there where so many people that I didn´t like it that much.

After that we went to night market called Shi lin. It belongs to the largest night markets in Taipei.
I was very tired, especially my feet, so I hope we will go there another day :)
